Decks
"Installing a deck may be the most cost-efficient way to add square footage to your house, and of all the outdoor home improvements except painting, it may be the most reliable value. Decks average $6,304 and generally recoup 104% of their value. That may not sound terribly impressive, but other touted outdoor improvements fare much worse."

"There is hardly anything in the world that some man cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price only are this man's lawful prey." -John Ruskin

Even though the 3D software we use will create very nice renderings, it still needs work. The details in the final deck renderings look nothing like what we build, but do serve the purpose for strictly visual representation. We will soon be able to show better screen, tint windows, show every detail of a Custom Deckworks deck and much, much more.

Here is a covered deck that’s partially screened-in. See the actual finished pictures of this project here.

The gazebo shown here is actually screened-in and has a very nice door. The finished gazebo looks much better than this rendering. Again, see the finished product here.

The fact that we’re the leader in Arkansas when it comes to providing accurate and understandable deck plans is purely accidental. We believe every contractor should go the distance and do everything they can to make sure the customer knows exactly what they’re proposing and do it for free. We have actually seen napkins with unrecognizable scribbling handed to homeowners as a "plan" and heard of others unwilling to draw anything at all. Without a scale drawing, you have to wonder what you will actually end up paying for. If the contractor is unwilling to make sure you are comfortable before the job, it is very likely they will not make the effort to ensure your comfort during or after the job as well.

NOTE: If you only require the Design services of Custom Deckworks (and possibly some consultation during construction) because you'd like to tackle the actual building yourself, please check out our DIY Assistance page for help in this area.

Also, any plan, explanation(s), or other instruction e-mailed to you by Custom Deckworks is to be left connected to and within the actual e-mail and not to be printed out. Upon hiring Custom Deckworks, you will be provided with a copy of the original as an attachment to the contract. Each and every plan, drawing, or explanation of work is the property of Custom Deckworks and copyright protected by the Law established by the Berne Convention. Anyone caught enlisting these services from Custom Deckworks under our 'Free Estimate' system and then turning the information over to another contractor, will, at the least, be presented with an Invoice for services rendered with a fee of not less than $75.00 an hour. This fee may be increased at any time without notice. If Invoice is not paid within 30 days of mailing, legal action for copyright infringement may ensue.
